Parashurama
Parashurama,is the sixth avatar(incarnation) of Lord Vishnu appeared in Treta Yuga,Parashurama was a brahman by birth and was the son of Jamadagni and Renuka who belonged to kshatriya Suryavanshi(later on Rama was born in the same vansh).Parashurama was a great disciple of Lord Shiva,Shiva was impressed by him presented him a divine weapon(axe) which could destroy any one in the world.After that Parashurama resumed his life as a normal brahman following all the dieties that a brahman is supposed to do.One day in his absence a king called Kartavira Arjuna visited their kuteer(place) and got very well taken care of,amazed by it the king asks how could you provide sufficient food to hundreds of my soldiers being a brahman.
Jamadagni took him to his divine cow called Kamadhenu which used to fulfill all the wishes of its master.Amazed by it Kartavirya asks brahman to give him the cow,the brahman disagrees but the king takes the cow forcibly.Parashuram comes to know about it and goes to his kingdom and brings back the cow after killing the king Kartavira(who had thousand arms).As a revenge the King's sons kill Jamadagni,after coming to know about this Parashurama kills the sons too,he then starts his war against all the Khsatriyas(Kings) he starts killing all the kshatriyas one by one.One day Parashurama's grand father Richeek Rishi comes to him and asks him to stop the carnage.respecting his grand fathers words he stops the killings and resumes a brahman life again.
